File name NSE5-007.PDF CONFIDENTIAL 1 (1) Nokia Mobile Phones Service Bulletin No. SB-007/04.01.00 Technical Support, Europe & Africa NSE-5 FLASH MEMORY USAGE IN NSE-5 The NSE-5 Flash memory usage is different to other older Nokia phones supported by the FPS-4 tool, as all non-volatile data is stored in Flash memory instead of the traditional EEPROM. NSE-5 has two separate Flash ICs (D301 and D303). In D301 the EEPROM is emulated and all the user-data is handled by a Permanent Memory Manager (PPM), both using the Flash as 'non-volatile' backup memory. Note! If D301 needs to be replaced with new one, then it is necessary to re-build the IMEI/simlocks and completely re-tune the phone. NSE-5 SB-007 | ||
